The cooling system will be maintained on Wednesday 24.11.10. bwGRiD will be shut down completely and a part of the BFG. In progress!

Transition of the cooling system (from 14.02.2011 08:00 to 15.02.2011 18:00)

The cooling system will be replaced. This event will be used for maintenance in the BFG and bwGRiD.

Fuse replacement: Maintenance of BFG/bwGRiD (from 26.04.2011 07:00 to 26.04.2011 19:00)

All worker nodes, file servers and other services will be down due to replacement of the fuses in the power lines.

7th BFG workshop on 28th/29th April (from 28.04.2011 08:45 to 29.04.2011 12:45)

The 7th annual BFG workshop will be held on April 28th - 29th this year.

[bwGRiD] Maintenance of the bwGRiD Freiburg FINISHED! (from 07.07.2011 09:00 to 07.07.2011 12:00)

We replaced 2 memory modules in one of our servers. Maintenance took a bit longer since we had some other difficulties, as usual. The nodes have a new kernel and some have more local space.

Cooling Failure at 20:50 (clusters online again) (from 31.08.2011 20:50 to 01.09.2011 13:00)

We had to shut the clusters (BFG/bwGRiD) down! BFG and bwGRiD online and fully functional again.

Cooling System Tests (online) (from 28.09.2011 13:30 to 28.09.2011 15:30)

From 13:30 on the cooling system will be tested! The BFG and bwGRiD cluster will stay online but new jobs WON'T START to have a smaller load in the racks. If sth. unexpected happens we may be forced to shut down the cluster. Be prepared!
